    There were three things when I received the package apart from the sensor.

    Firstly, I recommend reading a user manual because, unlike other manuals, this one stores some useful information. A magnetic and two-sided sticker were included to allow you to stick the sensor wherever you please.

    The device is compact and has a really good design. It contains two CR2450 batteries, giving around 1 year of battery life. It has two vents on each side, which should be exposed to the air to sense the air quality.

    Before You Begin

    Before setting up your newly bought sensor, ensure you have a Zigbee 3.0 hub ready and Aqara or any other compatible smart home application like Homekit on your phone.

    Both of these things are necessary for the sensor to work properly.

    Connecting the Sensor

    To add your sensor to the Aqara application,

    1. Open the Aqara application on your phone.
    2. Tap on the Plus icon in the top-right corner.
    3. Go to sensors.
    4. Select your TVOC sensor.
    5. Choose a hub you want to connect to.

    Long Pressing

    There’s a reset button present on the top of the sensor. Long press it when you are prompted in the app.

    This will take a while as your sensor connects to the app.

    Additional Settings

    There are some neat little features you can see in the app, like changing the accessory name, its icon, location, and even the hub it connects to. Moreover, you can see the logs and Zigbee signal strength in the app; you can also choose a unit you want the sensor to use.

    The app also has an alarm feature that allows you to trigger alarms whenever certain conditions are met.
