Agentic AI in Dimensity 9400

MediaTek’s Agentic AI stands out for its ability to understand user actions and context autonomously. It can recommend actions or shortcuts based on user behavior, making for a more intuitive and personalized experience.

This AI is designed to work seamlessly with third-party apps, further enhancing its usefulness. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite also includes advanced AI features, but MediaTek’s autonomous Agentic AI takes it a step further in terms of adaptability and user personalization.

AI Authenticity Features

Qualcomm applies C2PA technology to audio and video, verifying content authenticity using cryptographic indicators. This feature combats misinformation by providing metadata that indicates whether media has been AI-altered.

Although it lacks a similar function, MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 focuses on diffusion generation to accelerate AI-generated content.

Camera Processing Power

The Snapdragon 8 Elite’s AI-powered Spectra ISP can handle 320MP images, Zero Shutter Lag, and real-time semantic segmentation.

The Dimensity 9400’s Imagiq 1090 ISP supports 320MP capture, 100x zoom with AI super-resolution, and HDR at all zoom ranges. Qualcomm’s ISP focuses on precision, whilst MediaTek’s emphasizes AI-powered clarity.

Video Capture and Energy Efficiency

Both chipsets offer 8K video recording at 60 fps, with Dimensity 9400 requiring 14% less power for extended video sessions.

Snapdragon’s ISP provides 20% higher perceived resolution, improving video clarity through fast processing. These developments ensure that videos are of cinematic quality while using less electricity.

Connectivity Advancements

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X80 modem supports peak download speeds of 10Gbps and Bluetooth 6.0, providing improved range and stability.

The Dimensity 9400 modem matches 5G speed but includes Bluetooth 5.4. Qualcomm’s modem outperforms others regarding stability and speed, which is critical for connected and Internet of Things ecosystems.
