Google Assistant can now read your webpages. Give it a try. Go to your Chrome browser, go to this page and say “Ok, Google [or squeeze phone], read this page.” I have been using it to read articles from https://automatelife.net. Maybe, one day I can get my voice on Google Assistant and I can start reading my articles to you!

The Google Assistant will then begin reading the page, giving you the option to speed up or slow down the reading speed. I have to say that the Google Assistant gets the timing (meter) and inflection of the sentences quite right.

This will help those who need help with reading or have visibility impairments.

Google Assistant will also Translate Webpage Aloud

Google Assistant will also read the webpage in 42 different languages – you will have to set a translation setting for the language of your choice.

One other thing is that you can minimize the browser on your phone and Google Assistant will keep reading the webpage to you. Now you can really Automate Your Life. Give it a Try: “Ok Google, Read this Page”

You can read more about this feature from Google’s Blog.

Thanks for reading. Remember, Don’t Hate, Automate!
