Shortly thereafter, it broadened its reach to include Australia, New Zealand, and Puerto Rico following the initial deployment. Moreover, Disney+ is currently accessible in more than 100 regions, covering areas in Asia and South Africa.

    I was incredibly excited to test out Disney+ when we first acquired our Roku TV. The cost of the Disney+ subscription doesn’t bother me since I’m a major Star Wars enthusiast, and I’m eager to experience it on a large screen.
    However, I have read from some online forums comments such as Disney Plus not working on Roku. So, I have done a bit of legwork to look for solutions. Keep reading!

    The top reason why your Disney+ is not working on Roku TV is poor internet, device incompatibility, server issue, outdated app, or corrupted cache file.
    No worries though, as this could be a temporary issue. There are some methods that you can try in order to fix the issue.

    How do I get my Disney Plus to work on Roku TV?

    If your Disney+ isn’t working on Roku, here are some fixing methods to try:

    Fixing Methods Description
    Make sure your Roku device supports Disney+. Check if your Roku device is compatible with Disney+.

    Roku TV models from outside the US such as Roku 1, 2, 3, 4, Roku LT (2700X), Roku Express+, and Express are compatible with Disney+.
    Restart your Roku device. Power cycle or system restart your Roku device.

    To power cycle (soft reset): Unplug your device for 15 seconds and plug it in again after.To system restart: Press the Settings button on your Roku TV. Navigate to System > System Settings > Restart.
    Remove and add the Roku channel. Remove the Disney+ app channel on your Roku TV.

    Restart the Roku TV to clear the device’s memory. Reinstall and add the Disney+ channel.
    Update the Disney+ channel. Check if there is an updated version of the Disney+ app.

    Go to the Home screen and select the app. Press the Options button to check for updates. Click on Update if there is any.
    Clear the cache on your Roku TV. Using the Roku TV remote, follow these steps to clear the cache on your Roku TV:

    1. Press the Home button for 5 seconds.
    2. Press the Arrow Up button once
    3. Press the Rewind button twice.
    4. Press the Fast Forward button twice.The TV should restart in about 15 seconds.
    Check if the Disney Plus server is online. Use another device to access the Disney website. Log in to your account to see if the Disney server is online.
    Update the Roku OS. Press the Home button on your Roku remote. Navigate to Settings > System > System Update > Check Now.

    If there is an available update, your Roku device installs it automatically and will reboot to complete the process.
    Restart the modem. Restarting the modem can help speed up the internet connection and allow you to connect to the Disney Plus channel faster.

    3. Go to the Streaming Channels and press OK.
    4. Find Search Channels and input Disney+. If the Disney+ channel is added, it should appear. If not, you have to download Disney+ and add it as a channel.
