via IFTTT Google Home New Updates and New Features for October 21, 2018 – Lenovo Smart Display 10″ Giveaway

As always, there are new Google Home updates and new Google Home Mini features here in 2018. This latest set of updates spans the new Google Home Hub, the Google Home, the Google Home Mini, and of course, everybody’s favorite…the Google Assistant.

Obviously, the big news this week is the dropping of the Google Home Hub, the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL phones, a new Google Chromecast, and all of their new features. Included in that is the rollout of Google Duplex, beginning city by city in the USA.

Updates to the Lenovo Smart Display, JBL Link View, and other Google Assistant-enabled devices will allow them to be a part of Multi-Room Audio setups. That’s major news for owners of those (including me). On top of that, Android phone users will be able to access Google Assistant from the lock screen (if they want).
