If you’re looking for Amazon Alexa updates in 2018 and for new features on your Amazon Echo in 2018, then this is the video for you. I go through all the latest updates and new features for your Amazon Alexa enabled device, like your Echo, Echo Dot, and Echo Plus.

This week, the biggest update for the Alexa voice assistant is the Fire TV Cube. It’s a $120 home entertainment hub that’s intended to replace your remote with Alexa. Now, the Fire TV Cube does have Alexa on board, but it also has a remote if need be. There are some great features, like starting the right Netflix episode that you’re on.

The Sonos Beam is now on Pre-order. That device has Alexa on it and is a premiere smart home theatre room speaker.

Amazon has partnered with Mariott homes and has produced Alexa for Hospitality on their Echo devices. Amazon is trying to get this new Amazon Echo in every hotel they can to give you access to the capability of their Alexa voice assistant. There are some security concerns, but in general it seems pretty safe.

Voice in a Can is a great way for you to go ahead and get Alexa on your Apple Watch. You can install Alexa on to your Apple Watch through this Voice in a Can application, and you can use most of the features.

Sensible Objects has produced a game called When In Rome. That game is integrated with Alexa and your Amazon Echo. On top of that, Sensible Objects has managed to acquire $3.2 MM to continue development of games like this.

Westworld is a great TV series that’s been on for a while now, and now you can play a game called The Maze based on the show. The Maze skill is intended to be just that, a maze-based game that forces you to think your way through an adventure.

Bamboo Music is a new skill that’s been developed to help children learn all about music. The Bamboo Music Alexa skill can teach children about a number of basic topics related to music and music theory, and each time your children will earn a Bamboo Music badge. From there, the sky’s the limit!
